Mica tape, also known as refractory mica tape, made by (mica tape machine), is a kind of refractory insulation material, according to the use can be divided into: motor mica belt, mica cable belt. Room temperature properties: synthetic mica zone is the best, white mica zone is second, gold mica zone is poor.
Insulation performance at high temperature: synthetic mica belt is the best, gold mica belt is second, white mica belt is poor.
High temperature resistance: synthetic mica with fluoropolymica belt, without water of crystallization, melting point 1375℃, large safety margin, high temperature resistance performance is the best, gold mica in 800℃ above the release of water of crystallization, high temperature resistance performance is second, white mica 600℃ release of water of crystallization, high temperature resistance is poor. Its performance also depends on the composite degree of mica tape machine.
Mica tape used for fireproof cable is a kind of high performance mica insulation product with excellent high temperature resistance and combustion resistance. Mica tape has good softness in normal condition and is suitable for the main refractory insulation layer of various refractory cables. There is basically no volatilization of harmful smoke in the case of open fire combustion, so the product is not only effective for cable, but also very safe.
Golden mica series mica tape has good fire resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corona resistance, radiation resistance, and has good flexibility and tensile strength, suitable for high-speed winding.
The fire resistance test shows that the wire and cable wrapped with mica can ensure no breakdown for 90min under the condition of temperature 840℃ and voltage 1000V.
Mica glass fiber refractory belt is widely used in high-rise buildings, underground railway, large power stations and important industrial and mining enterprises and other places related to fire safety and fire saving, such as fire equipment and emergency guide lights and other emergency facilities power supply lines and control lines. Because of its low price, it is the preferred material for refractory cables.

Cobalt blue glass is used in steel work and cement plant observation scenarios where IR protection is not required, but observation of bright furnaces requires blue eyewear to be able to see into the furnace better.
Cobalt blue glass is NOT a good substitute for green IR glass. Cobalt blue lenses do not protect the eyes from IR radiation like the green IR does, but cobalt blue lenses are not designed for that. Furnace observation cobalt blue glass is designed with the furnace observer in mind, and it allows those who are observing hot furnaces without IR radiation to see into the furnace so they can reduce eye fatigue and increase their vision of the items in the furnace.
The spectrum of cobalt elements makes it incapable of absorbing blue light (i.e., reflecting or passing through blue light, while completely absorbing yellow light with different wavelengths of blue light). Blue cobalt glass filters yellow light because of the presence of cobalt ions.
In observing the flame reaction of potassium needs through cobalt blue glass, because the potassium compounds are not pure, often mixed with some impurities, such as sodium (not easy separation), in the flame reaction, due to the flame yellow sodium, interfere with the flame reaction of potassium (purple), so you have to take yellow light filter, by the light of the principle of complementary color, yellow and blue are complementary colors. Using blue cobalt glass to filter out the yellow light, the potassium’s flame-color, purple, is clearly visible.
