Collection: Quartz Glass Tubes

Factory-direct quartz glass tubes — high-purity fused silica tubes for extreme-temperature, UV-transmission, and high-chemical-purity applications in semiconductor, laboratory, chemical, and industrial processes. Superior to borosilicate glass in maximum operating temperature, UV transparency, and chemical purity. Custom dimensions and OEM orders welcome.

Quartz Glass vs. Borosilicate Glass

Property Quartz Glass Borosilicate Glass
Max. operating temp. Up to 1100°C Up to 250°C
SiO₂ purity >99.9% ~80%
UV transmission Excellent (150–250nm) Limited
Thermal shock resistance Excellent Good
Price Higher Lower

Key Properties

  • Material: Fused silica (SiO₂ >99.9%) — transparent and opaque grades available
  • Max. operating temperature: Up to 1100°C continuous; 1300°C short-term
  • Thermal expansion coefficient: 0.54 × 10⁻⁶/°C — exceptional thermal shock resistance
  • Chemical resistance: Resistant to most acids (except HF and hot H₃PO₄), alkalis at low concentration
  • UV transmission: Transparent from 150nm to 4500nm wavelength
  • Custom dimensions: OD from 2mm to 300mm+, wall thickness and length to specification

Typical Applications

  • Semiconductor diffusion furnaces and CVD reactors — process tubes and boats
  • UV sterilization and photochemical reactors — UV lamp sleeves
  • Laboratory furnaces and high-temperature experiments
  • Chemical synthesis — high-purity reaction vessels and condensers
  • Infrared heating systems — radiant heater tubes
  • Optical fiber preform manufacturing
